The advent of
pregnancy is a wonderful time |
|
|
in a woman's life.
Whether
she has been practicing yoga prior to |
|
this special time
and event, or whether she would like to begin to add yoga as part of her
preparations for child-birth, pre-natal yoga can be a very beneficial
way for the expectant mother to connect with her body, mind and spirit,
as well as conditioning her body in a very special
way. |
|
|
|
The pregnant yogini
needs to be aware of certain risks, conditions and constraints that
would not ordinarily affect the non-pregnant yogini. Yoga teachers are
also responsible for instructing their students safely. As a
professional serving this unique population, learning the do's and
don'ts for teaching this pre and post natal yoginis is important. |
|
|
|
Remember,
knowing the ins and outs of pre-natal yoga is just as pertinent whether
you are teaching a 'general' yoga class, or a pre-natal yoga class.
The yoga instructor needs this special training. |

YOGASTEPS
